How To Feel Better As A Professional Muslim Woman
Stories in your head
How did I get here? I don’t have experience to be on the board.
Am I really good enough to be doing this? My career choice is the wrong one.
Can I handle these responsibilities? Will I make a fool of myself?
I have kids I should stay home and work part time.
I am not good with money so I should stay clear of the finances.
As a Professional Muslim woman, you are a true asset to the society. You are ambitious and you have so much to offer.
Yet, you are anxious, worried and stressed out. You are trying so hard to keep up, just to find out that you are spinning in circles.
Thoughts create Emotions
All of these distressing emotions are created by your thoughts. And like all emotions, it is in your control to be happy and feel better about the many roles you fulfill as a professional Muslim woman.
Many of you are brainwashed by the idea that you have to chase something external, outside of you, to change the way you feel.
You’re always grasping, searching, and believing that if you just could get thin, if you could just find the right partner, if you could just make more money, if you could just get more clients, if you move to a different state, then everything would be so much better.
You would be able to feel better about your life.
And unsurprisingly so, all of those things come together, and yet you’re still not happy. In fact your brain probably found a way to diminish your achievement pretty rapidly once you accomplished it!
End result?
You end up feeling bad about yourself again.
Here’s a shocking truth: Your external accomplishments don’t actually make you feel better about yourself.
You just can’t achieve your way out of anxiety, frustration and self-doubt. You have to “THINK” your way out instead.
Your negative beliefs are not accurate perceptions — they are a way of filtering too much information that flows by the minute.
You can choose to have a negative, positive, connected, disconnected, happy, or sad filter. The filter you choose will impact your world.
In our latest webinar How To Feel Better As A Professional Muslim Woman, Physician Life Coach Dr. Kanwal Akhtar discusses you how to dial it back in, go back to the basics, and talk about exactly what it means feel really good about yourself and remind you that that is completely within your control.
